POLYETHYLENE
www.adfoam.com.au

This material is recommended for high-value products over 10 kilos. Because of the thinner cushions needed, designs using this material often have cheaper cartons and reduced shipping costs.
It resists tearing, cracking, crumbling and creep. It's moisture resistant and is virtually unaffected by most industrial chemicals. It springs back after repeated impacts, loading and flexing, no matter how heavy the part. It can be washed with soap and water. Economical die-cutting and sawing are all that typically needed to fabricate.

PROs

multiple impact protection
flexible
lightweight
higher load bearing
chemically resistant
easily fabricated

CONs
relatively expensive
requires fabrication
slightly abrasive
